IRRS Follow Up Mission 2011 Report to the Government of Germany

| Minutes and reports | Nuclear Safety

In April 2010 the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany requested a Follow-Up IRRS mission, to review the measures undertaken following the recommendations and suggestions presented in the report of the 2008 IRRS mission and the changes in the German regulatory system since 2008 mission. Those areas where no suggestions or recommendations were made on 2008 IRRS mission were not included in the scope of the follow-up mission. After the occurrence of the TEPCO Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear accident the IAEA developed, within the framework of the IRRS programme, a new module to take into account in the regulatory bodies the current lessons learned form the accident and its application to the German regulatory system for safety. The review was conducted from 4 to 10 September 2011.
