Steffi Lemke at the conference "Strengthening The 'E' In HREDD" (Part III)

Video
  • The conference picked up on the trend that more and more companies are voluntarily committing to meeting environmental standards along their supply chains and that human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD) is becoming increasingly legalised. With high-ranking government representatives from the G7, leading companies and various actors from civil society, the challenges on the way to a comprehensive consideration of environmental aspects along the supply chain were discussed. In addition, the conference aimed to present the potentials of Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) to support a wide range of environmental and climate goals and to provide an opportunity to identify areas of action for the G7.
