The Ordinance on the Rates of Levy and the System of Points for the Single-Use Plastic Fund (EWKFondsV) was promulgated on October 17, 2023 and comes into force on January 1, 2024.
Taking into account the legal requirements of the Single-Use Plastics Fund Act (EWKFondsG), the ordinance defines the levy rates for the plastic products concerned and the points system for payments to entitled persons. The determination of the levy rates and the points system is based on the UBA research project entitled "Development of a cost model for the implementation of Article 8 (2) and (3) of the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive".
