The Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Economic Affairs Ministry have published a joint concept paper with specific proposals on how to improve and further develop the top-runner approach at EU level.

The key elements had been set out by the German Environment Agency and the Federal Environment Ministry on the basis of the report "Product-related top runner approach at EU level".
