Joint statement on climate action between Germany and Japan

During her stay in Japan from 17 to 20 May 2016 after participating in the G7 Environment Ministers’ Meeting, Federal Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks signed a "Joint Statement on bilateral cooperation on the dissemination of low carbon technologies towards transformation to decarbonized societies" with her Japanese counterpart Tamayo Marukawa. The goal of this joint statement is to expand bilateral cooperation, especially on long-term issues concerning climate action, climate technologies, municipal climate action and support for climate action in emerging economies and developing countries.
